INSTITUTE ACTIVITY @ Lowland Beach Resort

I want to share my experiences in visiting resorts. My plan for this summer is to visit some resorts in Negros Oriental.I first visited Lowland Beach Resort that is located at Dauin, Negros Oriental, Philippines. One of the beautiful resorts in the said place. So the story goes this way: It was Saturday morning, that was our Institute Beach Party so meaning to say everything is free. On that day, I woke up 6:00 am coz we need to be in the church by 7:00 am. We started the activity with a prayer and after that those students who wasn't able to share and bear their testimony during the graduation ceremony was given a chance to share that time. In the beach, we did swim, swim and swim!!! here's some of our pictures:

My Institute Family <3

We made this sand name, INSTI for INSTITUTE!

The Objective of Seminaries and Institutes of Religion

Purpose of Institute

Live

Teach

Administer

Our purpose is to help youth and young adults understand and rely on the teachings and Atonement of Jesus Christ, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven.

To achieve our purpose:
We live the gospel of Jesus Christ and strive for the companionship of the Spirit. Our conduct and relationships are exemplary in the home, in the classroom, and in the community. We continually seek to improve our performance, knowledge, attitude, and character.

We teach students the doctrines and principles of the gospel as found in the scriptures and the words of the prophets. These doctrines and principles are taught in a way that leads to understanding and edification. We help students fulfill their role in the learning process and prepare them to teach the gospel to others.

We administer our programs and resources appropriately. Our efforts assist parents in their responsibility to strengthen their families. We work closely with priesthood leaders as we invite students to participate and as we provide a spiritual environment where students can associate with one another and learn together. Someone else’s outfit!

They were in Boho look: Loose, flowing, earth toned fabrics. Long skirts, soft brown leather boots, and beads. Everything, *everything*, is in earth tonesBohemian Fashion Style is becoming more of a state of mind rather than just a look or a "fashion trend that will eventually fade in time". Dressing bohemian style is a way to express yourself and connect with the world and nature, as well as adorn yourself with the richest flavors of cultures. Today's global awareness is continuously strengthening this type of fashion. I would like to introduce the people in the pictures: (from left to right) Fritz Austin Herrenauw, Leonalie Mae Patina, Shaira Kriss Chua, Jake Montemayor, Kathrissa Faye Fabillar and Romil Anasario. I love their outfits! They were stylish and lovely! :)

During our Bohemian Party

This girl is on FIRE! She's my favorite model. I call her Emaleeng. She's beautiful, drop dead gorgeous friend/cousin of mine.  Modelling is her passion.

Models: Miko Dave Lado, Toni Maagad, Priscilla Enriquez and again Romil Anasario. This photo was taken during our women's preference ball in church.

Stay Different!

I can still remember the time when I was reactivated in the Institute. It was a funny experience. On May 2011 my friend Jake told me that they were going to have their training with the institute officers of bacolod; that time I am in the church doing something. I suddenly felt the happiness when I saw the Institute director of bacolod. He told me, Hi sister! I'm looking forward to hear your testimony about your experience in the institute. And then he shook my hand. I was shocked! I wasn't able to speak even a word because he taught that I am going to attend the training. I decided to join the training even if I am not one of the officer and even if I am not invited. In short "I invited myself" haha

One of my greatest achievement in life is to gain and apply the knowledge I've learned about the gospel. I am a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am grateful of my parents for giving me this wonderful life. I know I chose them when I was in the preexistence. I love everything I received and I experienced in my 20 years of existence, and one of the greatest experience is to graduate in the Institute. I am happy that I received the diploma and have the chance to share my testimony. It's been a wonderful experience to be with the people who shares with you the same standards. Let us all help in building the kingdom of God on earth by learning and preaching His Gospel; by serving one another.

I know Heavenly Father loves us. The more were getting stronger in church, the greater trials we face but God knows the capabilities we have so He gave the trials that we can overcome. :)"When you're tired of everything and almost wanna quit, always put this in your mind: A fighter with a greater faith in God will never be a loser"

La Familia

I have a family here on earth. I am Grateful and blessed to have them. Blessed in a way that in spirit world I had chance to choose my earthly parents and I am lucky to choose my loving parents that mold me for who I am now. Gamboa Family is compose of seven members. I am the first princess in the family (char!). I have an eldest brother, two younger brother, one sister and my parents. We are proud to say that we belong to "The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are God-fearing, loving and Happy family.

2011

I want to talk about my parents first. I would like to start describing my mom.She is Gemma Bordaje Gamboa. 45 years of age and was originally from Cadiz City somewhere in Bacolod. We call her "MOTHERBIRD" She is the nicest and strongest person I ever met. She's very beautiful and an intelligent woman. I think I get my beautiful face to her (hahaha, wag ng pumalag!) I'm a proud daughter syempre!

Young na Young ang Face! Bongga!

I honestly don’t know where I would be or who I would be without my mom, she is the one who raised me and my first teacher (I hope every mom do this!) She simply is good for no other reason than it is the only way for her to be.  I aspire to be more like her. And every daughter wants to be like her mom. I am proud with my mom in raising us. I will never forget people always say when we hang out, "Parang magkapatid lang" and here we are with my siblings saying: "Agoy nibukad nasad ang atay" haha. Honestly, it is really fun to be with her. The never ending story and chika, the teasing moment, the dance party and most of all our crying moment with her while watching movies.

Here's our wacky pic! :D

Well, so much for my mom. Next I would like to describe my Dad. My dad is Ricardo Japole Gamboa. 46 years old. A government employee and a businessman. Actually, I really don't know much about my father. He lives away from us. I will just talk about what are the memories I have in my mind when we were with him.

I still remember the time when I was young, I can say that I am a spoiled daughter. He always give what I want. He don't want motherbird to scold me. I always go with him in the office. In his day offs; we always go to malls and our all time favorite fast food; Mcdonalds.  He loves to hangout and go to resorts with our family friends. He loved swimming (obviously), biking, singing, running a business, and most of all playing instruments. He is a hard working man. He is a provider and a good father to us. He never forget to greet us on our birthdays.

Here are some of his pictures during my debut.

At this point, I would like to talk about my brothers and sister. I have two younger brother: Romney Levi (16) and Ricardo II (12). an eldest brother: Rye Lester (21) and a beautiful sister: Raya Laine (13).

I can say Rye is my good looking brother. He always cook our food ( he never did this before. haha). We never get bored in house coz he's the teaser and the witty of all (as always!),Rye is also a trying hard singer (oopps, sorry! haha) and i love more about him is that he is patient to teach my younger brothers about instruments and of course about the Gospel.  He is a change man now.He is now preparing to go on a mission.

Romnney is a shy type boy, a fourth year high school student. He's good in sports. He's a 4th place chess winner in Negros Oriental and a basketball varsity player in his school. (Foundation University). He also loves to play instrument (just like my dad) I heard that he is the school heartthrob. (char!) Yes of course, I'm a proud sister! He wants to become an Information technologist someday.

My youngest brother is Ricardo, he's a grade 7 student, he loves to play games in Ipad. A loving baby brother to me. He always seek our attention. haha(a usual bunso's do) The funniest member in the family. He always put a smile on our face. He always do random things that would make us laugh. He's a good dancer. (liwat ni mama!haha) The cutest of all! He always say good things to us like: sexy kaayo si mama oy! (bisag dili! haha); gwapahang ate then sabay kiss and so on. He's so bubbly and the truest among us. And he is starting to have crushes! Daku na amung bunsoy. :)

Lastly, I want to talk about my only sister Raya Laine,a second year high school student. We are so close like  best friends. She always want the things I have. She's more fashionably than me. She's so conscious about the fashion now a days and she dreamed to become a good cos-player. She is so intelligent in academics. Raya is now practicing to play a piano and guitar. She loves music and loves to sing. She's turning 14 tomorrow.

I know families can be together forever. I love my family and I will live with them til eternity.
A very inspiring quote: "All of us, single or married, are eternally part of some family” someway, somewhere, somehow”and much of our joy in life comes as we correctly recognize and properly develop those family relationships. We come to this earth charged with a mission: to learn to love and serve one another. To best help us accomplish this, God has placed us in families, for he knows that is where we can best learn to overcome selfishness and pride and to sacrifice for others and to make happiness and helpfulness and humility and love the very essence of our character."
